…..people in the spotlight don’t mind being talked about or criticized…..they only begin to be concerned when they’re not being talked about or criticized
I am in many ways a Plugger, but I do not drink beer, I do watch Sherlock (but not Downton Abbey; I hate soap operas). I also watch Foyle’s War, Poirot and the Granada Sherlock Holmes series. I don’t like stereotypes.
Reality shows aren’t real. Each episode is scripted, a circumstance is created for the “stars” to deal with and react to and encouraged as to what to say and how to react. They are directed. Reality shows justify lazy and bad writer’s jobs. Sorry, I like real stories about real people or well written stories performed by real actors. Most networks have totally lost me because they offer nothing but “reality” shows.
Dartpaw86: You didn’t see that photo of them, post duck call but pre-beards, in their designer sports shirts and shorts, enjoying their nouveau riches at their country club?

I’m with the second Plugger; never watched a single episode of “Duck Dynasty.”

I have watched all of those shows and don’t get the allure of any of them. I’ve come to learn I don’t enjoy “reality” tv very much at all.

Watched less than one minute of duck dynasty, and never wanted to see it again. I don’t see what people see in it.

hey, I watch Sherlock, Dr Who and American Pickers. We tend to watch what we call Geek TV at our house.

Television today is a vast wasteland of repetition of bad shows while phasing out the very few good ones.

Pawn Stars – best show on TV these days.
