Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for March 21, 2014

Transcript:
Meg: This is the first house I've ever lived in!
Meg: The first yard I've ever had! My first bedroom, too!
Meg: And you're my first friends, really!
Ladarius: Does your Pop still have the condo at the beach?
exoticdoc, nice catch…..Besides that, it is starting to look like her “friends” may hang around her for the wrong reasons….I think that’s where he’s going with this….
Johnson is a master at dragging out the cliff hanger. He did the same thing with the sale of the boat. Enjoy the strip, but I would like to find out what is going to happen with Gus’ property, etc. We will get to it soon, I guess.
Interesting drawn image of Meg in box two. You can really see a resemblance to Gus in that drawing of Meg. That was never a part of her “look” before. Such an interesting turn of events in this story arc. Strange, but very interesting none-the-less.
Man, people complain when we haven’t seen Gene and his family for a while, and then, when he does concentrate Gene, they complain we haven’t seen Arlo and Janis in a while….Johnson can’t win….
Seriously, I always assumed the blond haired, fat-nosed “kid” – Skeeter – was a middle-aged guy who worked for old Gus. I could tell he was harmless but still thought it weird they let little daughter hang around unchaperoned with a middle-aged man. NOW HE’S A KID? And he’s, what, 3 feet tall He doesn’t even come up to Gene’s belt?? (see 3/17)
This comic is deteriorating in style & content. The kids really are unattractive. Why can’t Jimmy maintain a focus on Arlo & Janis or at least on Gene & Mary Lou & ML’s dad?

Those are supposed to be children?
They look more like senior citizens.

Vanishing clothes. She’s going to be very popular.

The idiotic comments are getting to be even funnier than the strip…. :>
I really hope Jimmy doesn’t take them seriously, though.

The artwork in this strip has become really terrible and annoying, and I’m taking the whole thing off my comics page.

Friends are friends for many different reasons. They will qlso often take advantage when offered or implied.Might still be good friends.Might not.

Is it just me or does it seem like this strip has been drawn by a completely different person lately?

I second Kcunning’s sentiments.
