And it’s Monty, so that explains the fuzzy thinking.

Oh, lordie! It’s Monty, the Wilderness Man! Where’s your scruffy long beard, Mountain Man?(Maybe I can keep from laughing at him if Gretchen and Moondog can also refrain….)

Still much better than people spending nature walks looking at (and worse, talking about) their latest phones.

He’ll collect all of the burrs. In the whole county.

You know, I’ve learned to adopt a live-ad-let-live attitude when it comes to fannypacks. But when it comes to people bragging about having the latest in fannypack technology, I’m intolerant and plan to stay that way.

All those preparations (and walking sticks!)to go on the Loop Trail. He’s going to have to work hard to get lost so he ca whip out the compass, etc.

A leather ammo pouch works just as well as a fanny pack and it looks way cooler.

But Monty…. a velrco’d fanny pack doesn’t have the belt you need to loop over a tree branch in an emergency. … You know.. when you need to climb a tree in a hurry, get up from a fall or use it as a swing for jumping into a pool of water. (that you haven’t checked the depth)

So, if Velcro is just matching miniature hooks and loops, is Monty the “hooker” or is he just “loopy”?

There’s just no way to make the fanny pack cool again. *sigh*

Hadn’t seen Gretchen in a while. Was starting to worry she’d been put out to pasture with Chimpy and Dave-7.
