Boy: Mr. Uhrmann! How am I supposed to write what I did this Summer before I do it? Mr. Urhmann: How are you supposed to have a great Summer before you imagine it? Boy: This is going to be one long last day of school. Frazz: I can't imagine a better one.

The kids have met their match. Good thing for them he’s only a sub!

The apparent inherent contradiction: It’s easier to be spontaneous if you plan ahead.

It will surely be one long last day of school. It has already lasted three days and counting. I love comics relativity.

Dilema time:
Caulfield knows if he writes down what he’s really planning over the summer, his parents will be getting a call from the school.
If he writes that he’ll learn another language & help out at the old folks home, Mrs Olsen will bust him when they go back to school in the fall, if not before.
So, he’ll probably write that he went to the centre of the sun with his pet dinosaur!
The other children probably don’t even know what they’re doing the next day.

The assignment should be entitled “My Plans for this Summer..” Put your best Phineas and Ferb “I know what we’re gonna do today” into it and have fun.

First, bigpuma nailed it – I thought I was reading the same “punchline” 3 days in a row.
Second, it’s 2014. Shouldn’t we be past portraying Asians with SLANTY EYES??

Caulfield is certainly thoughtful in the second panel.
