@exoticdoc2When I was in the U.S. ground forces I was “entitled” to work 12-20 hour days, sometimes not having a day off in a couple weeks here in the states, much less frequent overseas. At an hourly rate I made sub-minimum wages with no tips and I couldn’t raid the icebox. Not ALL gov’t./union workers are living the life of entitlement.

We are down to two classes in this country:The truly needy,And the truly greedy!

After reading this comic and before scrolling to the comments, I thought, “Oh, s***, what uneducated nonsense is exoticdoc2 going to troll us with today?” Nice to see so many people handing him his rear end, though, especially since I have family and friends who have worked for the government and are getting screwed by conservative policies.

By the way, I don’t need an EBT card, I pay for my phone, I followed all the rules to get my driver’s license, I pay for my healthcare, and I still don’t vote Republican.

George, probably if we sat down, looked each other in the eyes and talked about it all would be OK with both of us.

I am a Democrat and there is absolutely nothing wrong with one. I live lightly in a rural area and get along fine with people much more conservative than me.

As a current government Civilian employee in the DoD there are people who are “entitled” and there are hard workers that carry the rest., but that happens in the private sector as well – union or non-union. Right now I work as hard as a can (often putting in some unpaid overtime) do the best I can to make sure that I carry my load, and that those under me carry theirs. I also work to make sure our soldiers are paid, and that the civilians are good stewards of what the taxpayer puts into Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen.

Those who work for a living get income; those who work too hard for a living, sometimes, like me, get Social Security Disability. I’d give anything to trade that for a real income!!!
