Things I hate about spring/summer. The smell of chemicals: grass fertilizer, fake/chemical cleaning smells. I only clean with scented vinegar. Lavender oil smells so much better and is better for you.
I hate all the smells of cleaning products – and the perfumes they are putting in everything now make it WORSE! I only use unscented detergent (I bought one big bottle of a smelly one way back that I’ll only use for things like cleaning rags that won’t go near me normally. I dry things in the fresh air and only have landscapers with their gas machines once a month, so my things mostly smell very nice.
I cooked beets and broccoli the other day and left the house smelling of broccoli but then I boiled a cinnamon stick to kill that. I just made some pudding for my fruit desert tomorrow and I just smell the brown sugar and vanilla. I used some cream but mostly almond milk. Sprouts had such a deal on lovely apricots; I’ll make us a simple trifle.

“The fresh smell of linen in a spring garden….” No, it just smells of an excess of chemicals.
