Shades of the Marx Brothers’ movie “Go West!”

Iron horse vs. tired mule! Being a comic strip, it wouldn’t surprise me if Becky comes out ahead.

I was wondering when they’d show up.

Now a good story goes bad with these two idiots.

“These two idiots” have probably been a part of this strip since before most of us were alive. Lighten up.

If Becky is true to her muleness, she’ll stop when she gets too tired to keep going despite the urgings of her owners.

I have a feeling that when things go bad, it’ll ultimately wind up being good.

Looks like Rufus and Joel want to warn those aboard the train about something ahead.

“You know that rickety ol’ bridge we’re always crossin’? Remember how we knocked it down bringin’ you all them tires week afore last? Well, we built it back up, stronger’n ever!”“How is that donkey keeping up with a steam locomotive?”“Never you mind what I’m doin’ in that ol’ motor home out back o’ my shed! Anyway, you needs t’stop this thing ‘cause we done ripped up the tracks to rebuild that ol’ bridge!”
