Boy: Whoa. Beni: What is it? Boy: Alice has built a structure using every single toy at Blisshaven. Some would call it a remarkable achievement. Beni: Others, less charitable, might call it an ostentatious form of toy-hogging. Boy: Cynics!

Cynics, indeed.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is one of the best comics going!! Day in and day out he hits it out of the ballpark!!!

The ones calling it remarkable are just plain scared of Alice!

I for one, am impressed with Alice.

I am surprised that someone Beni’s age would know the word ostentatious.

Who is this Art that you are all referring to? LOL

Commendable piece of work, Alice. Our city planning commisioner did far worse.

Art for the masses, right here, right now! Richard, what an honor to witness you!!

Miss Bliss has said “Creativity plus neatness equals art!”
If Alice has used absolutely everything, then there’s nothing left to clutter the play area. That’s a kind of neatness, isn’t it?
Maybe that’s how the Plains Indians earned their reputation for making use of every part of a buffalo carcass. They weren’t being resourceful, they just didn’t like sharing.

If you leave the structure standing overnight, and tomorrow morning it has drawn all the toys from neighboring preschools into its matrix, leave the building in a quick but orderly fashion, and notify the authorities.

Looks like the mini-set from the movie “Brazil”

This strip is without a doubt the “Peanuts” of the 21st century (and beyond)!

I am so glad I saw the comments about this strip yesterday on Dog Eat Doug… I just finished reading the archives as far back as they go. This strip is priceless!

There are two books out so far, Maizing, and a compilation (with extras) is on the way. Buy them all! Buy extra copies! Let’s make Richard RICH!
Ushindi over 14 years ago
No, fritzoid, let’s NOT make Richard rich. I don’t want him giving up the strip so he can spend more time lolling on his yacht along the Cote d’Azur, maybe hosting black ties at his sumptuous villa in Antibes. Let’s keep him lean and hungry so he stays with Cul de Sac.

Speaking of Richard in his villa:

Captain Tibbies? Doesn’t he hang out over at “Ink Pen”?
Well, something between “Richard, Rich” and “Poor Richard”, then… I’ve seen some strips disappear because they simply weren’t feeding the bulldog. There ain’t a lot of money in the comic strip game unless your market penetration is in the thousands, and “Cul de Sac”, I fear, will never please the million; it is caviare to the general.
