That was my old trick 60 years ago. Mom would make me sit at the table until I ate something I didn’t like. When she got up to start doing the dishes with me still sitting there, I started dropping the food for the dogs.
I was told my older brother would chew and chew and chew meat he didn’t want to eat, and then excuse himself from the table to use the bathroom, where he’d spit it out. Of course, he’d already gotten just about everything from it
