Don’t leave them out where kids can get hold of them either - no child proof caps to keep them out of harms way.

Last week my daughter and son-in-law took their German Shepherd to a vet to get neutered. Later in the day they came home with the dog and some prescription pain killers. Sometime the next day, while the dog was alone in the house he managed to get up on the counter where the pills were, tore into the container, and downed the rest of them. The whole incident could have been tragic if it wasn’t so dog-gone funny…………..

Mine has lovely little clear sliding covers for each day, and 5 slots for different times of the day. It’s pretty big, abt 5”x7”, so I hardly use it since I stopped taking so many meds daily.

rwih, some of vet’s pain meds are flavored like beef so the dog will take them easily. Big problem, sometimes. I trust your granddog is okay?

ImaPlugger2 : Granddog seems to be fine. When the vet was contacted about the incident he said to get him to drink lots of water to flush the stuff on through. (Gunnar drinks better from a water hose than a dish)
