Arlo an dJanis could be available for kid sitting Meg. Be around when Gene and wife need any help. It’s called family.

The kids are OK. Losing your job from time to time is, unfortunately, a fact of life. At least they got a nice nest-egg (and a boat to live in?) so they won’t starve while getting re-established.

And let’s face it – they’re young. This is the time to make risky decisions. Not when they’re old and 10 years away from retirement.

How do we know it’s about the kids? It could be about world events (no, then she would be crying).

She hasn’t even heard from them yet. Her mom sense is tingling.

LOL, in this strip Janis reminds me of the woman who runs the service dept. at my car dealership. Over the years I’ve learned that if she comes into the customer lounge and sits down next to you it means that they found something wrong and it is expensive to repair.
