I’ll bet that the Real Santa Claus is feeling seriously unappreciated thanks to those store bought fakes who do show up after Halloween. maybe the big elf can find some smaller elves to go commando on those stores who insist on the commercial santas be available.
If someone can make a buck on Santa or any other icon, they’ll do it. Macy’s just announced that they’re opening for Black Friday on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Funny how as a kid, Santa (and Christmas on the whole) couldn’t come soon enough, yet nowadays it seems to arrive both too soon and too early (and ever earlier). What’s more, it’s over practically in a flash… and even then, when I’m feeling particularly Grinchy, it still seems like too much!

Totally agree with whichever dog that is. Christmas decorations went up a week ago in my local supermarket!
