Left-wing conspiracy theories are OK though.

W and his clique’s war on Iraq cost America 3 trillion dollars. Over hundred thousand of people were killed and million dispersed. Yet the Republicans are still around. Isn’t the US a great country for those who can afford to spin the most?

Which is why the cover of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is one of the most valuable things about it.

What’s amazing is that Lalo waves his left-wing attack on the right-wing and, just like Pavlov’s dogs, all the poster guard dogs here start salivating and yapping in unison.

If you don’t enjoy it, and protest quite loudly, when someone “calls you names,” indie, why do you engage in it yourself?

@echoraven, Obama is caught between a rock and a hard place. Republicans control the Lower House and the disasters caused by Republican governance (1994-2008) are too huge to correct in a single bound. The financial damage caused by unnecessary wars and tax cuts has weaken America almost irremediably. Those in the world who don’t like America are quick to smell the blood…

Is this an example of the new Agrestic who is only concerned with dealing with the issues?

I didn’t say “issues,” I said “arguments.” In any case, the issue is that you made statements that are on their face insulting and name-calling, and I’m wondering why you are doing that when you have repeatedly complained about what you saw as insults and name-calling directed your way.

so anything you write is an “argument”, eh?

Almost anything anyone writes on this forum is an “argument” of some sort. But I wasn’t making a claim about that. What I said is that what I’m doing now is addressing the statements folks actually make, including your own, rather than entertaining myself making fun of them.

If Lalo can do it, why not everyone?

Aha. So you’re of the camp that if someone does something wrong, then you should be able to do the same wrong thing back? An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth? Whatever happened to not doing something if you think it’s wrong, especially when you publicly denounce it as wrong?

Well, it’s my turn to say, you just don’t get it.

So you’d rather not give an accounting of yourself, or do any self-reflection on why you’ve decided to conduct yourself exactly the way you do. That’s fine. What I will say is that by carrying out the very same tone you decry—and you’ve had this tone for months before I started posting here—you undermine yourself. My hope is you’ll come around to see this, but of course that’s in your hands.
