I’ve heard that plants will grow better if you talk to them, but this kind of talk may not do it…

Seems more like plant gossip.

My plants never appreciate my kind and considerate words; I guess they have a knack of recognize manure when they hear it.

Kid Sister’s boyfriend, ex-Army Warrant Officer, asked advice on growing house plants. She suggested he talk to them. His comments to his new ferns was "Grow, you Little B@#&%$!Sure enough, I spotted the ferns growing in a flat top; just like a GI buzz cut. Strange but true… *:-)

Rose has nothing on Zonker Harris; the plants aren’t talking to her.
