we no longer exchange gifts in our family – for about 15 years now – we celebrate with a fine meal and the company of those we care about – with never an uneasy moment over a friend who had nowhere to be being included – no gift giving angst, angry shopping or bills to pay! My husband and I make donations to local animal shelters and charities and feel very fulfilled. Ahhhhh. Happy Holidays!Santa would still come for any small ones, if we had any, though!
