So “Doctor Appleby” is like Charlie Brown; everyone calls him by his full name.

[sigh] I much preferred Doctor Appleby when he was a kid who played as a doctor, but the other kids didn’t buy into it. The original inception of the character was related to his hyper-focused parents naming him Doctor to shape who he would become. I still think that aspect of the backstory is more funny and still has a lot of life in it.
