Thank you, Lalo, for bringing some much needed ethnic variety to the comics pages. Haters will hate, but Lalo stays great.Happy Thanksgiving, Amigo.

If you’re going to steal, er, paraphrase, a quote, you should at least apologize to the author. Enjoy the Day…

Or, you could just not make any remarks at all.

I have not been “letting” your characters say crazy things.

Why do you assume that the thanks is aimed toward you? To me it looks like the characters are praying. So unless you’ve now taken on the role of their god, I’d say your assumption is ill-founded.

But doing this, as on other holidays, shows that you are just a “regular guy”

As many other cartoonists do, Alcaraz is marking the holiday. Part of what that means for this time of year is to give thanks—it’s right in the name, after all. Just as, in marking Dia de los Muertos, he portrayed his characters as calacas. And what’s with the “regular guy” barb? Sounds like you’re trying to chip away at a fellow human being’s humanity. (If your response to this is, “Well, he does it!” I would invite you to consider whether two wrongs make a right.)

You can thank the FAA for holding back your average driver from flying in the air. They demanded a pilot’s license.

One more thing to be thankful for today!

“. Then they came for me and nobody was left to speak up.”.Just as well. You weren’t much of a loss, knowing that the commies were going to kill the unions, Jews andgays and doing nothing to stop them.
