T’was the week before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring because we’re out at the mall. Christmas in two days, AAHHHH! Gotta finish shopping, AAAHHH!
I’ve always had most of it done before Halloween. The only things left to buy are the sweets, which I buy as freshly made as I can get before giving to my recipients.
Money was tight this year so it took a bit longer for me to get into the groove. The shopping I finished yesterday, I hope. Today is the day for the mass wrapping and cookie baking. And finding out what I forgot. Let the games begin. Heheee!
JKiss… So am I but not observant…and I celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas and every other holiday I can get my hands on….
I don’t observe a religious Christmas, but I grew up with Santa Claus, and candy canes…and an appreciation for a season that makes so many children happy and unites so much of the world in peace, for whatever time it lasts.
X .. I don’t know what they are…but I saw an article that said something was a “done deal.”
Done shopping, need to wrap. Looking around my community and friends and what they are going through, and GRATEFUL for what I have. Material gifts seem insignificant compared to what some of my friends are going through at this of what is supposed to be the best of the holiday seasons.

I am blessed that I never have to set foot in a mall to buy gifts.
