My older brother (age 32 this coming April) blogged two years ago about his favorite soccer T-shirt/uniform from his childhood. Although it still fit him after all those years and was getting worn out by fading and what-not, he retired it by fire.
Several… hardly ever wear them, though, cos they’re old…. and cos I seldom wear shirts that say things….I have a tuxedo T-shirt from the 70’s I still love….and a black T with a cup of coffee on it, the steam forming a skull… it was a gift… came rolled up in a coffee bag from a fancy coffee store…and it says “Death Before Decaf…”
One that an ex boss bought the whole staff…it says “The floggings will continue until morale improves…”(there are a lot of those around now, but it was a new joke then.)
So I suppose you could say my favorite T-shirt is a plain black tank top, cos I have so many, and I always seem to be wearing one in summer.
I do have a favourite one that reads “If you think I’m a _____, you should meet my daughter”. My daughter’s matching shirt substitutes mother for daughter. I mostly wear mine schlepping around the house.
Yes it is my old gray Fantasy Baseball camp T-shirt that I got back in the late 90’s. It was a baseball camp for deaf kids. My poor shirt is now a sleep shirt as it is getting a little too thin for public viewing.
Around the house I wear shorts or sweats with a t-shirt. I wear the t-shirts until they look like rags but hate throwing them out – they become comfy friends
My favorite T-shirt is one that I bought in the Lybian desert outside Tobruk. It commerated the March 2006 Solar eclipse, which is what I was there to experience. The day went from a warm, sunny morning to a cool dark sky with a 360 degree sunset during the less than 5 minute total eclipse.
Responding to first question, “I have way too many to say one is a favorite! Now, if it were sweatshirts, it might be easier; no wait, it will still be too hard to pick just one…”.Second question response, “You mean, besides me?”
I have a “Little Miss Sunshine” shirt that reads “I Hate Everyone.” As you would expect, everyone who works retail expresses admiration for the shirt and wishes it for him/herself.

When my son (now 50) was 17, He wore my Elton John Concert Tee and got pit stains on it. I’ve never forgiven him!

Have never liked T-shirts, as I think they make me look fat, but my favorite sweatshirt says “I drink coffee for your protection”.

My favorite is a “Blessing of the fleet” shirt from P-town 1984.
