I share your sadness, Doug. If I don’t cover my little mariposa lilies each night, the rabbits eat them. :-(

Doug…Have you ever tasted how good a rabbit can be?

Call me a silly romantic - but I love this comic strip a lot lot lot more than “Lio”.

In the absence of new Calvin-Hobbes, I think this is my favourite indulgence of innocent wisdom, philosophy, pranks, memories…..

Gosh, I think I’m voting with Wayfarer, Joe, and Wolfee on this.

Love the expression on Doug’s face in the last panel. Makes you want to run out to the garden center and buy him another plant. We had a TON of rabbits at the old house and for some reason they never bothered my garden. I wonder if it had something to do with our cat? He found a garter snake in there one day and from then on end he declared MY garden his personal territory. He would bring every snake he found into the house….and friends asked us why we moved!

Doug learned a lesson today. Life is temporary, enjoy each day.

I wonder why rabbits don’t eat all the dandelions in my yard instead of the nice plants my lovely female accomplice has planted.

Bunnies might be tasty, but the ones in our neighborhood are so diseased we can’t try them. I know, as my hubby began trapping them to save our garden.

Thanks for the kind words! Fortunately the rabbits in our yard leave the herb garden alone. The deer however nibble everything.

Poor Doug looks so sad in that last panel.

I love how expressive his face is.

Agnes is basically new Calvin and Hobbes. But with a little less charm. But this is way better, maybe even better than Calvin and Hobbes. And that’s saying something.
