Girl: Know what helps me with procrastination? Keeping a list of everything I need or want to do.
Frazz: So you can prioritize?
Girl: So I can cherry-pick the easy ones first.
Frazz: Oh, when you said "helps with procrastination"...
While I can be a bit of a procrastinator, I actually find making lists and doing cherry picking the easy ones is helpful. I make progress and it makes the rest look a little less daunting.
I retired ≈ 11 years ago so my to do list starts with pay the bills. Groceries and other needfull things go on my smartphone’s memo. The memo is divided into immediate needed (pills, food, coffee, books) and one of these days (hobby stuff). So far, so good… :-))
Actually, that’s a very good strategy for getting things done. Get the small easy things out of the way first so they are not a distraction when you buckle down to work the things needing more time and attention.

I don’t need help. I can procrastinate all on my own. And I think she did mean help to procrastinate.

I was going to procrastinate, but decided to put it off. Maybe some day I’ll get around to it. (Because those square to its are too much trouble.)

I’ve always thought that prioritizing was just another way of saying that you are going to cherry pick the easy ones.

Actually – in a class on overcoming procrastination, they encouraged us to start with the easy tasks because success breeds success. It works.
