I used to color but about 18 months ago I decided to stop an just let it happen, hair is much healthier and I actually like the color I got once all that other color had grown out.
My husband keeps telling me that he sees gray hair on my head, but I keep telling him they are white and I’ve had it all my life. I also have a natural white streak on one side and he claims he never noticed it until now, now that I’m past 60. Some guys just can’t see their own nose in front of their face. I’m a natural medium to dark blonde, depending on the time of the year, so some white or silver hairs will always be there. Will I color it to hide it? NO!! What would be the point?
I appreciate my silver and white hair NOW. The last time I colored my hair was a disaster, and the reason I stopped dyeing. Had to take glasses off and I couldn’t really see. Did all the usual procedures. When I passed a mirror on my way to rinse, I thought it looked a little dark. Wrapped towel around wet hair when I had finished. Put on my glasses, cleaned up the bathroom. Took towel off hair and screamed. My hair was clown red instead of a warm honey reddish-blonde. The store manager and I think a couple of kids thought it would be funny to switch the colorant bottles in more than a few boxes of hair dye. The worst part of the whole thing? I had a month-old perm, my hair looked like a clown wig, and I had to take 10 kids to the circus that day.

When I was married I used to shop for sanitary products for my wife and it never bothered me. Why should it?
