Nighthawks, you can hear a lot of Canadians use the word ‘bloody’ — I know my friends & I use it quite a bit. Maybe we’ve picked it up from the Brits or Aussies, who knows — but it’s fairly common ………
“Bloody” isn’t usual American idiom, but “guy” is. My Australian ex started using “you guys” from watching American TV, and her 5 year-old niece picked it up from her, and now the girl’s parents complain that she sounds like a Yank.
