Haha, I had forgotten those ads for the two man sub. Thanks for posting the link to what it really was, though it sounds like the people that actually bought one still had fun with them. As for $7 back then, that would be about 5 hours at minimum wage in the 60s, so call it $40 today. Obviously you aren’t getting a real sub for $40, but $40 is an awful lot for a cardboard box, even one with working rocket launchers. ;)

I think the hypnosis disk probably won’t even work on Beetle Bailey and Chip Flagston.

I guess a gumball is fair compensation for a hypnosis-disaster, ehh, LIo? That’s 99 cents you’ll never get back.

Having once bought a hypno-coin when I was young, I can relate to Lio here.
For me, it didn’t work as advertised.

Maybe it would help if she had visible eyes to see the coin first.

You forgot that Eva has overlong bangs! They are sometimes impossible to work.

I had a Hypno-Coin when I was a kid! It didn’t work any better than Liō’s did!

Did the coin shrink from shame?

Lio should have read the fine print, if you look at the ad in real small print it says the coin “helps” to hypnotize your friends
