So the mystery is solved. Now we know where Joy learned to rinse things out rather then wash them. I wonder what other helpful homemaking tips she has passed on to her daughters.

I dunno about anybody else… but even at the risk of seeing things I don’t want to see, I would never ever eat or drink anything, with my eyes closed, that was prepared, or even merely handed me, by any of this lot

Not that I am, in any way, inclined to accept food or drink from them, but should a situation arise where I have no choice….I will do it under protest, with my eyes wide open, and focused on every detail.

When I was bartending (100 years ago) it was a big mistake to serve anyone a glass with lipstick on it..Reminds me of an old joke:A man asks a Scotsman what he wears under his kilt. He answers “Your wife’s lipstick.”
