Wally: “It’s been real. And it’s been fun.”Sarah: “I know where Clive is.”Holly: “Wait, what!”Sarah: “I said, I know where arrgghhhh.”Holly: "Wally, what’s an “arrgghhhh”?"Wally: “Some kind of reptile thing, I guess. Let’s go.”Holly: “Ok, that’s fine by me. But I can’t help thinking there’s something we’re forgetting.”Chic: “Where you parked the ship?”Holly and Wally: “Ha ha ha! That’s a good one! Shut up, Chic.”
I had some speculations earlier today and posted them in the previous day’s comment section. They aren’t completely ruled out yet although I thought maybe all of Sarah’s friends where dittos. Now it appears few score and seven lizards are cooked. They are quite close to Chic, Holly, Wally and Kirbee (all day), so I don’t know how our intrepid band will survive, but I am certain there is a way. Maybe the lizards will run far enough away before the drones fire. Do drones drop bombs or precision death rays, I don’t remember. TSOJ is correct, this is just a few lizards out of the hundreds, if not thousands at the fight. Piotr and Helena might be worth saving, along with Pirvee here, and there are probably many others, not the least of which are Helena’s three lizard children. Voting links are in my profile, and it is a new month. Thanks, JusSayin
they may be unashamed baby killing racists but…actually upon typing that I realized that there aren’t really any innocents in this colony, those who didn’t participate in the genocide are complicit in infanticide and attacking anyone who comes close to their land to rob them.
To Wacky-D: (commenting isn’t working)They are “some” of the survivors. Actually, we don’t know if Sarah’s group was even at the boxing match or had been anywhere near the fire. For all we know, Sarah’s group started the fire to kill off Jim, and therefore aren’t “the survivors we’re looking for”. The real “colony survivors” will include Helena, her husband and their other children (excluding Chic).
Can’t believe all the questions. Jim killed all the babies and smashed the eggs, Jim started ALL fires. Too bad Jim didn’t get to tear out Sarah’s throat. Too bad Piotr has to pay for thinking with his little brain and not his large brain.
Wow! I don’t know what to think…some of them had to have made it to the rocks….that was a huge colony…they can’t all have died inside….too many ?? and not enough answers…yet!
I don’t think Jim did the eggs/nursery. He might have, but 2 big lizards might be hard for a 3" crazed raccoon man.I’m really disappointed with Piotr, I thought he woas smarter than that.It doesn’t show Kirbee, but she would be 1 that Wally would want to save, so I think she is also hidden by the dittos.I hope the King shows up and gets zapped, he is one of the worst, anyone who would want to kill his own son has got a screw loose or is very evil.
This really is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.
Jim loved Sarah so much that when he found she was dying from an incurable whatever, he sacrificed everything to save her. He ended up going mad in no small part because of her betrayal and killed himself (maybe) because of it. Sarah, on the other hand tries to grab power and gets a handful dust… er, dittos, and loses even that.
If Wally were to leave Sarah and her companions — who had robbed him, laughed at him and were about to leave him to die — to their fate, it would be justice. If he chose to have the dittos save most of these reptilians, it would be compassion. If he chose to save Sarah, it would be stupidity.
I’m still hoping that Quenn Helena makes it out with her children. Her no-good hubby can fend for himself, but it would serve him right if he sees Helena reunited with Chic.…Although… If the no-good hubby was to recover some of their belongings (including Clive), then maybe… just maybe he can provide a peace offering.
I think its great that Aaron is able to accurately display the distinct shadows of the characters in the last two panels. Really great talent. I am so-o-o envious!
I see Piotr as being a little too complicit in the colony’s misdeeds for his own comfort. He comes off as a mostly good guy who is involved in this partly because he feels it may be the least of evils and partly because he wants to live. The impression I had when he was talking with Wally and company is that he understood what was going on and what could happen and felt uneasy about it. The thing I have against him is that his unease never really led him to act, the way Kirbee’s compassion led her to look for “Molly”. The telling thing for me was when Piotr was standing there while Sarah blamed “the outsiders” for the fire and sentenced them to death by drone. He seemed bothered by what was happening but refused to speak up. He is definitely no Kirbee.
A bit possessive are we Sarah? “Your Dittoes”I don’t see your name on the warranty! The next sound your hear will be a ringing in your ears. Fortunately for you you won’t be anywhere near them!
In the first panel, you can’t see through the lizards to the peaks behind them. Second panel, you can see through Wally and friends to the peaks behind them. From the perspective in the first panel, you should be able to see Wally and friends in the fourth, but don’t. Good illustration of ditto invisibility.
I’d imagine that things may not be working out too well for Jake. He is probably learning that it is a lot easier for someone like him to grab power than to lead others and he definitely isn’t the leader or problem solver that Endtown needs. Tough times for Endtown, which makes for a VERY interesting story.
Funny some folks are calling this revenge.Wally has nothing to avenge. He was not wronged by Sarah. This is punishment.Wally does have a sense of justice and fair play about him.
Say…will being “under” the dittoes protect one from a bombing raid…or would it involve just not being seen and therefore not targeted? I’m not sure…either way could be dangerous in its own right…
I am glad to see this arc coming to an end. Will some reptiles live? Most likely. Will Sarah? Probably not unless she’s captured for information (how to sucessfully transform).Holly, Wally and company making it to the coast and sailing away would be a good way to end the story and head back to Endtown.I’m ready for a ravishing heroine again.

Wow, all the survivors too? This kind of transcends pathos and crosses into genocide.

Even if invisible, Wally and pals need to get outta there. The TSer drones (if they are drones) could just “spotlight” the whole area with Zero guns.

Could be Wally is so concentrated on Sarah that he hasn’t realized all the other reptiles are exposed.
