And be careful there, as once the floor gets you down there, it will not want to let you go! You may have to crawl to a chair in order to break the force of gravity and pull yourself up. Why did nobody tell us these things?
Now with my bad back and both knees gone I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t taught the dog to drop his frisbee on the ground every time he brings it back. The dog loves to catch the frisbee all day. If it weren’t for the cheap grabber sticks the poor guy might never get to play. I keep one of those at every door to the house so when we go out I can pick the frisbee back up to throw it again.
If I drop something on the floor, which doesn’t happen too often, t can still get down and back up without much trouble; however once I am down there, I do look around to see if there is anything else I can do before I get back up…
Gravity, inertia and middle ear infections. A great combination for testing one’s limitations at advanced age. The pills and antibiotics are right here (pat-pat) and it’s time to take one from the middle bottle. (with milk)
You just never know. We all have an inner timer that nobody can see. (just as well, though) Himself and I used the start of retirement to lose weight, start exercising, get in the best shape we’d been in decades. Then Life started to go sideways. My mom was in better shape in her 90’s than me in my 60’s. Dad was long gone, though…

I have a bad back that likes to go out when I least expect it.Before I bend down I’ll try to pick whatever it is off the floor with my toes.
