Bird: It's late...you'll wake the neighbors!
Bird 2: I sing for the one lonely soul gazing up at the stars...listening for a comforting tune to ease the pain!
Bird: It's pointless to argue with a midnight crooner.
We had screech owls that gave the weird call that sounds like a combination of a horse whinny and a woman moaning. It used to give me goose bumps, and sure ruined several of my “garbage moments.”

In town, looking up at the stars, the nighthawks circle around the streetlights, going “peent!”

We have a lovesick mockingbird who sings ALL NIGHT LONG in the spring.
