I enjoy reading the newspaper in the morning, with a cup of coffee…………….but, they have reduced the content so drastically, that I still have to go on line to read about the things that really interest me. (small town paper)
They are pricing themselves out of the business, plus it brings out the old saying:People who read are informed.People who read the newspapers are misinformed . . .
Where I live there is no such thing as a ‘local’ paper. I live way out in the boondocks. My closest neighbor is about a half mile away and I don’t have any idea who they are. In fact, my address is in a different county from where I live and good luck getting cell phone coverage. If we had a ‘locality’ and a local paper, I would subscribe. Where else can you get the local news for pocket change? If you haven’t noticed, the key to this whole thing is “local”!
As for cell phones, they should be renamed, “@$$” as in, "Get you head out of your *!

I’m thinking how sad that we are losing our newspapers as I read this on my laptop. I know…I know.

But the reason the newspaper industry is having such a hard time is because they’ve gotten rid of the comics!

I subscribe: daily and Sunday. I rarely read the paper, but I want to support the content (like comics) that depend on newspapers.
