Wonderful comic! Even though anyone bowling their age is not particularly exciting. :) Even me, as a clumsy, klutz-like bowler can regularly get in the 140s. It is really great to have the father and son interaction being shown… especially with an elder father and middle aged son. I miss my own father, and wish I could have a time like that with him now. I do get to experience camaraderie like this (not bowling, though) with my elderly father-in-law. This is quite a good and enjoyable time. The dad’s moustache is very nice as well. Gary hasn’t drawn as many moustached fellows lately as he has in the past. I hope he brings them back.
I bowled with my dad for years (along with my brother and uncle) until I started beating dad’s average. He switched to another team. We made a joke out of the family team beating his new team. Wish he was still around too.

Similar with Ken Griffrey, Jr. and Ken Girffey, Sr. on the Seattle Mariners’ baseball team in the early 1990s.

Really good if you’re close to 100 years old. Not so good if you’re only 40.

Rolled his age times three? Damn that’s good. If he does that when he’s 100 it would be perfect!

Geordie Howe and his son both played in the NHL at the same time.

Not so much the numbers, but the sharing an activity seems like the plugger thing. Seems to me, anyway.

My Dad and I used to bowl in a league back in the early 70’s. I wish my Dad was still around. He’d be 96 now and I’d love to take him bowling…

I’m guessing a lot of us miss our Dads once they are gone…
