My boys think everything is a present for them! So do my cats…

We do rescue and have literally dealt with thousands of dogs over the years. They understand a lot more than most folks think they do. I also know the ones of you that read these ‘animal comics’ all know that too.

This arc looks promising. Reminds me of what women say versus what men hear.

    Give.

is that:I give to you.You give to me.

Since Rover has possession strictly speaking he is the only one who can give.

No wander our teachers most often wanted complete sentence answers to questions.

I find the same miss connects in texting with the phone. Short and sweet is often not understood properly or at all.

With humans it is always necessary to explain in detail just what it is you want, and even then, there is a strong chance you will be misunderstood!

With pets, dogs at least, anything past the first word is usually ignored. So, give the ball to me and give the ball to Harry, or give the ball away means exactly the same thing… to a dog.

Although Rover is obviously ignoring Red, in this case, Red is issuing a correct command to Rover…

This strip isn’t very well presented. It looks like Rover hears only himself.
