When you’ve been in the company of Burl for any length of time, you soon learn that asking a question is a ‘no-no’!

Going from “Who knows what a folder is” this week, to writing a program next week, is pretty optimistic. Of course, with Burl, getting him to get his shoes on the correct feet the first time is pretty optimistic too.

In the mid- and late ’90s, I taught beginning computer use at the local library. 90% of the peoples in the classes were women and recent immigrants, they wanted to learn how to use e-mail to keep in contact with the old country. It was heart warming.

And next, Burl I will teach you what a virus is. Burl: OOH, I know that one. I just sneezed on the keyboard.

I would have had much fun teaching Burl.

If he’d asked the last instructor, he’d have just started out giving Burl an Etch-a-Sketch to play with.

As soon as Burl gets home he’s going to get the leftover SPAM out of the refrigerator and flush it down the toilet. He’ll be so proud of his self!
