I used to work with a young woman who was always insulting me or doing things that made me look bad. Every time she did that, I did something nice for her. One day, she just blew up, yelling at me and demanding to know why I was always so nice to her. It was pretty funny, as she had managed to keep her actions secret from the boss up to that point.
I went to school with plenty of mean girls. Sometimes boys were mean as well. At that time, bullying wasn’t such a no-no, it was part of being a school aged child. I hate bullies, child or adults (yes, some don’t grow out of it). Now, I take delight in defending against bullies. Who do they think they are anyway!!
