I dance like nobody is watching. But if I dance, nobody wants to watch, so it is easily done.

Too many people have lost their sense of dignity.

Celebrate the small victories as well as the big ones, that is what I say. If she had been getting Bs or Cs previously, an A is definitely worth getting excited about. Blow the trumpets!

Oh, come on Ms O. Let your fourth graders be childish — they are children after all. Any kind of enthusiasm about academic success is welcome in my classroom, and my students are 6th and 7th graders.

*I think the reason is that “winning” is a team-thing. *

Particularly in football, where there isn’t a single play that doesn’t require all eleven guys to be on the same page.

Hope this kid had to look up Bear Bryant. And no, he doesn’t look that much like the teacher.

Really enjoyed the “brain massage” today, guys (and I think you know to whom I’m referring). But on another note, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at comicsssfan’s comment that Cam Newton could never make it as a jockey. WHOOP!!!!

If my kids see me acting that way for one reason or another, I tell them, It’s so rare that I’m ever right about something, give me this one. They acquiesce, eliciting even more cheers. W00t, W00t.
