somehow, this slogan makes me think about people wearing silver stuff with rings in their shoulders and hips, and space babes with tight dresses, green skin and helmets in the shape of crystal bubbles (with two antennas)
But really, doesn’t it sound like certain major vendors? (No names, please.).“In the future we’re going to force you to use the stuff we’ve already abandoned as inadequate.”
You know, you think this is old fashion and out of date. Maybe it is, since the fax was invented almost 300 years ago. But, before you go too far, we are an IT firm, one of the biggest. We have gone back to the fax for sending memo, letters, etc. The reason is; 1. It can’t be hacked. 2. The law says we have to keep emails for any government agency to be able to search through. 3. The memo gets shredded, no paper trail. 4. You would be surprised how many large manufactures want faxes. The list goes on. Far too long to put it all down here. Big one: It doesn’t get lost in the black hole of the internet. We really are getting away from taking orders and working over the internet.

Gee, Rita… why don’t you just send them a telegram?

She’s actually done that.

Or she could type it up, mimeograph it, and walk it around to the other VP’s.

I don’t know. Sounds like she’s saying they’ll drag clients down with them. “We’ll make you’re tomorrow into our yesterday.”

Fax, telegraph, carrier pigeon… Why not return to the beginning and tell each person individually?
