Blind from birth, Asif Patel is recognized as the best mechanic in Karachi, Pakistan. The entire island of Aogashima in the Philippine Sea is an active volcano- and within it's called there is another volcano! In 2012, residents of Zarozje, Serbia, were told to place garlic on their windows and doors because a notorious vampire was believed to be on the loose!

I may not have a car, but I’d like to see how Asif does it.

Some years ago a Dallas TV station decided to check the diagnostic abilities of garages, including dealerships in Dallas. I was doing some mechanic work at the time and knew about the abysmal state of auto repair in Dallas. The reporter simply loosened the rotor electrode in the distributor. What that does is make the engine misfire and run rough.Dealerships and high dollar garages diagnosed everything imaginable, such as needing an engine overhaul, valve job, replace the fuel system, replace the ignition system, etc. Not one of them even came close to the real problem. The electrode becoming loose was not common, but it did happen. So somewhere in South Dallas the TV folks saw a hand painted, misspelled sign on a tin building. “Gradge” or something to that effect. They stopped for grins and giggles you know. Mechanic listened to engine, said “I’ll be right back”, went into his shop and got a rotor, installed it. True to their word. “Gradge” was hailed on the 10 o’clock news as the best garage in Dallas.

“Recognized” as the best? …was that supposed to be a play on words?

Yo, dawg! I heard you like volcanoes, so we put a volcano in your volcano!

It’s likely not ‘another’ volcano, just the same one, rebuilding its cone, as has happened with Krakatau, Mt. St. Helens, and many others.

On many vehicle the are places only your hands can get but your eyes cannot see.. Sight can be a handicap, you need to visualize what you cannot see and use your hands to do the job.

The notice about the vampire occurred because the watermill in which he was said to live collapsed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sava_Savanović
