By the way, I think it’s simply brilliant of Joe and Mike to create a character, Spicy based on Chester Gould’s daughter Jean. Very nice tribute by them.

It is clear that Ivanov took it but I was hoping that he would hand it to Tracy. Well he has his duties to fulfill. Maybe he would return it after his bosses had a look at it.

That leaves something of a “Puzzle”, a Big Question Mark (?)For what exactly, did two detectives (Russian/American) fly to Cuba to apprehend them ? Suspicion of ‘what’ American crime ? Stealing a pair of Goggles. Information picked up from street “hear say” ?Or is it, on suspicion of ‘aiding and abetting’ in a Bank robbery that has not been SEEN to be investigated by anyone in the strip

Have a vague recollection of John Locher ‘blowing a whistle’ on them on going to Cuba, but the Weight and Significance of their Crime - (to trigger/justify pursuit - to another country) remains fuzzy ! (?)

Maybe, it’s function of Old Age (?) But it ‘eludes’ me !

I’d guess that DJ stole the glasses, and has sent them on to the Apparatus. That way, DJ will make some profit, even if the casino job went bust.

According to an article from the Sun-Sentinel there is an agreement that was signed in 1904 but was suspended in the ’60’s when Fidel came into power. As of right now extradition from Cuba is almost impossible to do. I can’t post the link as I am on my tablet.

Good of old Diet to have his private jet waiting in Cuba to pick up Tracy and the entourage. This could turn into a rather interesting flight back, if certain birdies start to sing….

Well here it was, that I was hoping it would transpire that I’d overlooked some EVIDENCE that would provide some well reasoned “justification” - for a High Powered team of Detectives to go to Cuba. ! (?)

Had it been Bonnie and Clyde boasting a long list of “murders” (including 9 police men) and witnesses to those crimes, one could easily appreciate an effort of this magnitude !But that doesn’t seem to be the case here . . .The “weak” justifications ‘floated out’ here were . . .

“PRESUMPTION”“STRONGLY IMPLIED”But they all seemed so shallow - No evidence ! ?? No witness who saw and could put a hand on the Bible ! ??

So, what’s the “charge” then ? Petty theft ?For accepting (in good faith) glasses offered to him on a Tray?One would have hoped that (on April 30) Porfiry might have elaborated on EXACTLY what - the ‘Initial Crime’ in Tracy’s country WAS (and who had ‘observed’ it ?)Shudder to think … that a top KGB man was coming to A Crime conclusions based on - “Hear Say” (?)
