Does Naperville PD have a Diet Smith made transporter? Macy keeps going from HQ to 3D’s morphing manse in almost every other panel in this arc.
————————————————-
I know I’ve been flogging a deceased hoss
And some may think what I write is dross
But once again I must opine
Though my words be not sublime
There is no suspense and no mirth
Of police work there is a dearth
The stories smell, the artworks bad
The strip has become really sad
A little logic, a little thought
Is not too lofty a goal to be sought
It’s not that we ask for too much
Just a straw that we can clutch
As we sputter in the foaming brine
Oh, wouldn’t that be just fine
But no-one hears our sad refrain
As the strip swirls down the drain.
Why does Tracy hang out with Pruneface’s mom? Is he waiting for her to finish her joke? “Call me Penny–copper!”
DT should go ask Sue Doko about D-Cubed’s transactions, his enemies, any recent behavioral changes on his part, and whether or not she knows how to give tattoos. That would save time, move the story along and generally make sense–
Beefeater, by the this time tomorrow you’ll see she’s no -’pistol packing mama’. Perhaps a sort of France Nuyen (of South Pacific fame) without ‘boobs’
Since July 22, we have learned that ‘someone’ was found dead with a butterfly tattoo (maybe he was the guy shot on stage from the last arc), 3D has enemies, Mrs 3D is pretty clueless as is Dick, the homeless guy is passing $1K bills and S. Doko is a puzzle in the story.
All this EXCELLENT exciting story line has in crammed in only 42 days of the FABULOUS Dick Tracy! Drawn in such INCREDIBLE detail, it looks like real life! And they even give us COLOR in the comic on Sundays! How could it get much better?
(By reading your comments, folks. Really appreciate it; I never knew The Dick was supposed to be funny until I visited here.)
Who is Mrs. D talking to in panel 2. If talking to the secretary, would she say, “David’s secretary, Sue Doko, has a list…”
What does the dialogue baloon in panel 3 convey? Anger? Iciness?
Agree with all comments above. (How did tsouthworth get his last sentence past the censor?)

Look’s like Tracy’s continuing to bounce around.

Note that as she becomes more agitated, Sue Doko’s hair mandibles begin to twitch and grow!

Would it not also-if the guy were dead, which he isn’t, make sense to consider the wife and the secretary as suspects?
Plods with ...™ about 14 years ago
There are no “suspects” any more VanDork Just “persons of interest”.

Sue Doko’s pretty hot. I think she looks like Christine Nguyen.

Looks like margueritem has gone to sleep with Rip Van Winkle. I hope her bed is comfortable; she’s likely to be in it a loooooooooong time….

”SO DO I” - Could that be somehow intended as another weak PUN … on her name ?

Another day of LITTLE happenining. A former poster here - Grockstien had it right :
“You only get - one little ’tid-bit’ of forward movement per week”
And it’s dragged out endlessly !
