Buenos Dias, Dry!
I brought some pirate coffee, lattes and some pan de dulce (Mexican sweet bread).
I always try to read the comic in Spanish. I could only read the first sentence. Too many words today.
Tener un gran año escolar, Baldo.
(Have a great school year, Baldo.)
Goodmoring Dry, Cleo and Carmy. Thanks again for your good wishes. Actually, I’ve been working around the house. We have the Rock Club board meeting here today. Don di the floors with our new Shark (as seen on TV!) It works great, so he went out and bought the small steamer, too.
Carmy I like to shop (look around) mostly, see things and think, “Wish I had that”, then realize “You can’t have that”, and then leave! All day shopping is not my thing either! Too tiring and after a while, boring!
Dry, shopping for myself, I know what I want and I find it, buy it and leave. Taking the girls back to school shopping is not the same. It’s tiring and boring. Why don’t the stores have chairs to sit on while we’re waiting?
Carmy I guess it’s different with boys. Thank goodness! I’m in and out in about 45 mins. We get most everything at Penney’s. I do spend more time there for myself, because I love that store! Other places, not so much!
Dry, it is different with girls. They take forever!!!! We usually go to Penny’s also. They’ve been having some good sales. Last week was tax-free week at all the stores.
No fair! We have tax on clothes, but not on food.
It was tax free on clothes and maybe school related items. Since I often shop at the military stores, I’m kind of used to no taxes.
Thanks! My avatar is Rocko, a wallaby from down under.
Guess what? I went KMart shopping after dinner.

She’s working around the house? What part of “take it easy” does she not understand? Marg do I have to come out there? :-)
carmy about 14 years ago
Marg, I’m coming over there with Dry. What part of take it easy do you not understand?
Dry, I am so NOT born to shop. I want it to stop before I end up in the poorhouse.

Tax free, like Canada’s Duty Free? we don’t have a sales tax on clothes here, or food in grocery stores.
