Umm, do the people that are coloring the Sundays ever see them on gocomics? If they don’t they need to and try to figure out this problem. Its weird XD
Fun trivia…Thirs comic strip is called “Radisernes” in Denmark and “Rabinitos” in some South American countries. Those translate as “radishes” or “little radishes” respectively. Why not " jordnødder" or “cacahuates” which mean “peanuts” in Danish and Spanish, respectively? Because whereas in English the word “peanuts” connotes small children… as in the Peanut Gallery on “Howdy Doody”… the idiom is different in those languages. Their terms for radish carry that connotation though. Of course, Schulz wanted to call the strip “Li’l Folks” but the syndicate feared trademark violation issues because there was an existing strip called “Little Folks”. So, some anonymous functionary renamed it “Peanuts” without consulting Schulz. He hated it.
Thanks toonerific for the strip. Although I had no luck with the right click, I was able to read enough through the ads to get it. This seems to be a double oops from GoComics. I have learned that when I a “we are improving the service” or whatever the message is which shows instead of the desired strip, a google search with lead me to the GoComics strip for that day, but today – although it was noted as July 17 – there was a completely different Sunday cartoon.
The text in the dialog balloons was so faint it couldn’t be read. I enabled a high-contrast browser add-in and was able to make out most of it. The jpg posted by Toonterrific several hours ago opened clear and sharp. Thank you. This is the only GoComics strip in my favorites list that has this problem, and it only appears to happen on Sundays.I am using a Windows10 home pc. This happens whether I use current chrome, firefox or edge. It was also unreadable on an Android Marshmallow phone.
I do not have any problem with ads; there is one big one that pops up each time I change windows, but it has a close button that works.
Getting tired of them messing up when they color the Sunday comics and one or more of us having to fix the problem. A HIUGE thank you to Durandal_1707, Toonerific, Alexikakos, and anyone I may have missed who took the time to make it possible for us to actually read the strip. I wish you didn’t have to go to any effort, even if you don’t think it was all that much effort, to make it readable. But I’m glad you did go to the effort for folks.

Another Sunday Peanuts screwed up. Do they care? Apparently not. Actually, the whole system is on auto-pilot.

This is the only comic I read that has problems like this, so I think that GoComics doesn’t care. Thank you for the people who posted the real strip

Thanks to all posting a readable version. Pretty funny strip. Was this CB’s first battle with a kite?

Thank you both for reposting a restored version. I can only read the later posting as the former one is partially obscured by ads.

I’m confused. GoComics has both a black and white and a color version of these strips?
rgcviper over 8 years ago
I just e-mailed GoComics, from the Help page, to let them know about this issue. Maybe, hopefully, they’ll fix it soon.
In the meantime, thanks to those who posted readable versions.

If I had read this comic a lot earlier I would have said fill in the balloons with your own words.
