my little niece was telling me about her cousin getting her first mobile, so she asked me, when did you get your first one, ucle?(I am 43).of course I told her they weren’t invented yet, at least in their current form, they were as big as suitcases.as big as suitcases???what do you mean, uncle?
i watch them everyday, in traffic in the car next to and/or ahead of me. walking on the sidewalks, sitting in the coffee shops, walking down the grocery store isles, sitting in the parks. and of all places in the movie theater while watching movies about zombies. all too surreal. dazed looking, unable to decide without talking to their phones, rude to wait staff, people they are with, and mostly a constant danger to themselves.i watched in a meeting last saturday as a phone vibrated and 7 out of 8 people reached for their phones. the eighth person was me who just shook my head. we are already brainwashed, now all they have to do is remove our brains and replace them with a smart phone programmed to make us function as they wish. oh wait, maybe they already have!!nobody had better question ivan pavlov’s experiment results they are shown to be true every single moment of the day – too bad he didn’t have smart phones and people to test. the results may have changed psychiatry as we know it.
The phone zombies are multiplying. Every day I see more and more of them stumbling around, totally oblivious to their surroundings. They can’t perform a simple task without consulting some silly phone app. They expect instant gratification without lifting a finger.
The average I.Q. is slowly dropping because they have become too dependent on these electronic crutches. That’s why I refer to these gadgets as “StupidPhones.” They don’t make anyone smarter, as evidenced by increased incidents of walking into traffic, falling down steps and off cliffs.
It’s the beginning of the downfall of civilization.

That’s a good point. I had not made the connection between smart phone obsession and zombies (or early on-set zombie behavior).
