There WILL be a problem finding anyone to run as VP with Trump. First off, he’ll keep wanting to fire the guy. Secondly, Trump keeps talking about how he’s better than all the professional politicians, so who would he even settle for? And last point, which professional politician is willing to give up his career for good in order to run for VP on the Trump ticket?
You heard it here first. DT’s running mate will be Marsha Blackburn, congresswoman from Kentucky. Attractive right wing psycho. The perfect Republican.
To date, as far as I know, no one has commented on the implication of his earlier TV show “The Apprentice.” An Apprentice was always apprenticed to a Master. So, lurking in the background was the equivalence Trump = Master. Suits him. His shameful blathering on this week about his new golf course, just one hour after the prime minister of his host country resigned, shows the narcissism of the man. And yet one of his addle-pated followers on CNN thought that embarrassing gaffe showed “the kind of leadership we need.”
You can look at Trump pretending to be “John Miller” (and not very successfully!) two different ways. First, as yet one more in his long long line of con games. The other way, though, is possibly more interesting. We know that Trump is seriously mentally ill: he is a megalomaniac, a compulsive liar, and probably a sociopath. Could he also have multiple personality disorder and actually believe he IS John Miller?
Several ‘Pub pols have said they would be honored to be The Donald’s VP candidate. Personally I’m hoping but not hopeful for Sara, it would be priceless.
Spot On! The only person that could run with Trump IS “Trump” by another name. I can only imagine their conversations. Took me a minute to remember who “John Miller” was, but when it clicked…genius…hysterical.
If Trump has a dual personality, could he be his own running mate?.That’s one for the Supreme Court. Since the Supreme Court has already declared that corporations can be considered persons, it follows that a “person” is not identical with a single human body. And if multiple bodies together exhibiting a single “personality” (i.e., a corporation) can be considered a single “person”, then shouldn’t each individual personality inhabiting/sharing a single body be considered a separate “person”?.Of course, if the Supreme Court rules “yes” in answer to that question, it would affect more than just who can run for President/Vice President. Each individual “person” would have to be allowed a separate vote… and should be required to have a separate passport. Social Security law would probably have to be rewritten, as well. And what if one volunteered for the armed forces but another declared him/herself to be a pacifist?.A complex issue, to be sure, but definitely worth suggesting to The Donald.
It would appear that not all Democrats are for Hillary, however, the majority are certainly for her. There is a rarely a candidate who gets a very large majority when the nomination is up for grabs as it is this year. In terms of Trump, it would appear that only about 40% of the GOP is for him. Even if that numbers goes up, he has a much larger gap to overcome than Hillary.
@Jack’s WorldYou do realize that childish name-calling (as in Hildabeast) makes you look…..well, childish? As for Trump saying that he would “run for president as a last resort to save the country”, let’s hear from conservative pundit Jonah Goldberg:“I’ve talked to numerous political pros and quite a few actual billionaires, and the totally uncorroborated theory most of them hold is that Trump never expected to do this well. It was a P.R. stunt that got out of hand. The dog caught the car and now he doesn’t know what to do with it.”-———————————————————————————I’ve thought from the beginning that Trump was merely feeding his sick pathetic need for attention, and that he only meant this to be yet one more publicity stunt. Then he discovered that there were millions more truly stupid people voting in the Republican primaries than there were last time he tried this same publicity stunt. (By the way, I have no doubt that some of the people who voted for him in early primaries were already regretting it by the later ones, and this was well before his most recent idiocies.)
Obama has disavowed those who might do a negative action in the name of supporting him. Samantha Powers lost her job in the campaign for doing that very thing. McCain also disavowed someone for some inappropriate language toward his opponent. And no, I would not stand by someone who throws punches at a protester in support of a candidate.
I just said Samantha Powers lost her job during the campaign for using that language. I blame Trump for not disavowing the KKK leaders and other white supremacist’s support and for encouraging violence against protesters, which he has done repeatedly.
@Jack’s WorldNothing you could possibly say could make me look foolish in comparison to you, and (unlike you) I am not a hypocrite. I freely admit that Obama has come across as childish a few times over these last eight years, and petulant a few more times than that. Whereas Trump comes across that way pretty much all the time. But you didn’t reply to my larger point, that many conservatives disdain him, that political pros and billionaires (actual ones, whereas Trump might not be: you might want to read Jonah Goldberg’s column so that you will be better informed) think this really was a P.R. campaign that got out of hand. Certainly he never learned anything that a real candidate would, as a matter of course. Conservative pundit David Brooks was absolutely baffled by this. He (David Brook) pointed out that any time he would be on a panel or a talk show or whatnot, that he would PREPARE in advance in order to have an idea of what he was going to talk about or to be asked about. Trump never bothered to learn anything that any candidate should know, which is why so many of his answers are so stupid, so dishonest, and in some cases so crazy.
@Jack’s WorldYou DO realize that Trump has received more votes AGAINST him than anybody in the history of Republican primaries? As for your not having respect for the two aforementioned pundits, I can trot out tons of conservative pundits who also have contempt for Trump. Did you read Jonah Goldberg’s column? (Or plenty of George Will’s or or plenty of David Brooks’ or……..wow, so many to choose from!) And if you “called it out” when other people were childishly calling names, WHY do you do it? When Trump melts down (and he will, the smart money is on exactly that) will you say “oops” (like the Nixon voters said) or will you pretend that Clinton killed Vince Foster, and we faked the moon landing, and we currently are faking the International Space Station, and that the Loch Ness Monster is currently the mission commander of the International Space Station? At some point sanity will prevail.

I called Trump, Drumpf, his ancestral name, not a derogatory name. As Trump himself said about Jon Stewart, he should be proud of his heritage.

Occasionally, Trump says something reasonable, then, within a few hours, he changes his mind completely. A broken clock is right twice a day.
