I threatened HR with a lawsuit for breach of confidential personal info if they ever gave out my birthday to my manager or co-workers. My previous company would post everyone’s birthday for the month on a huge poster in the break room. The first time it went up my birthday was on it and I pulled the poster down and went into the HR managers office and laid it on the line. If my name and birthday went up ever again a lawsuit would ensue. Popularity contests aside, name and birth dates are all that are needed for identity theft and I already knew I worked with a bunch of thieves. At least once a month someone was walked out in handcuffs.

Wow! 15 minutes away from work was always fine with me.Get the boss talking, and you might get 30 minutes out of it.
