You’re quite the peckish pooch, aren’t you, Snoopy?

Maybe two:One in the AM, one in the PM.

Maybe I should tell off my dog too. He not only wants to eat randomly, he wants to repeat almost every time he sees me.

Cats are just as bad, believe me!

Didn’t Pippin have a similar schedule when he left the Shire in LOTR?

One meal a day? We always gave them two, morning and evening. Later, we had a little dog who preferred to nibble her portion of dry food throughout the day.

I used to feed my dog 2 meals a day. One is just not enough. We also gave her a snack during lunch time.

And also, what is wrong with afternoon tea?

One meal a day? Even Gandhi ate more.

PIPPIN: What about 2nd breakfast? elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn’t he?MERRY: I wouldn’t count on it.

Sweetheart gets two.

AND, she has a nice healthy dry food available to her always available in her bowl.

We give my puppy three meals a day! Is that wrong?

I thought a compromise was where both people gave in.

With a compromise position like that, Snoopy ought to have a great career as a Democrat Congressman…

A friend knew how to maintain the pack order with his pet, who, when begging for food was told gently but certainly “You’re ONLY a DOG.”

My dogs would have flipped out with 1 meal a day. Also, it’s bad for them, for the same reasons it’s bad for people. More meals allows you to have energy throughout the day. I used to feed them twice a day and two snacks. They always had energy to run around outside with me.

Reminds me of a former employee I had. It was a pleasure to fire him.

It used to be customary to feed dogs once a day, I’m not sure why, although we’ve always fed twice. Cats are the same, morning and evening although one is allowed to nibble as he just does better eating on his own schedule.

Sigh. Our dogs have us well trained. They have a schedule that Pippin of the Shire would approve. Breakfast; after-breakfast out; mid-morning out, back in with a treat; mid-afternoon out, back in with a treat; dinner, after-dinner out, last out, back in with a treat. Yes, I think Pippin would approve.

He doesn’t need to eat any meals.He’s a cartoon dog. Cartoon physics will keep him alive.Just saying.xxx

We fill the dish in the morning, He then eats when he wants to, The dish never runs out.

Charlie Brown only feeds Snoopy once a day?!? No wonder the poor thing is starving. A growing dog needs more food, right? I’m not a pet owner, so I have no idea…

C’mon Chuck! He can’t hunt down the Red Baron on an empty stomach!
