“Feelin’ Groovy” had already come out, the song that made Snoopy an icon for those of us who were there. At this time Snoopy became a force for positive good, and he spent a lot of time trying to cheer Lucy up, from roasting marshmallows to giving her little kisses on the nose.
Getting Lucy to smile proves he was nothing short of a miracle worker.
I was looking for some Peanuts trivia and stumbled across a diatribe “Against Snoopy” written by some sad little nebbish named Christopher Caldwell. According to him, “no one under the age of 30 or 35 reads Peanuts at all.” (and that was in the year 2000, so now you’d have to be 45 or 50, I guess).
I wonder how many award-winning comic strips that have run for decades and been translated into many languages Caldwell has produced?
@Snoopy_FanGreetings, Snoopy_Fan!-How was the first week back at school? I know the first week back is a little strange at first but after another week or so we get used to it. I did.-I love your smiley face stamp you inserted into your last comment to me! Were they available in any other colours? When I went to Paris, I had a pull along luggage case with a combination lock. I can’t remember what my code was but I’m happy to say that all my stuff was completely safe! By the way, I did know my code at the time. I was referring to now. If I couldn’t remember my code back then, I would be in big trouble. Haha.-Well, I haven’t got much to say this time but I have been thinking about you all week.-Hope you have a lovely weekend. You deserve it!

Maybe Snoopy’s not such a stupid beagle after all.

Wow. Snoopy actually did something that made Lucy smile. Somebody give the beagle a medal!

I love Snoopy’s pose in the third panel……like asking a girl to dance.

I was feeling happy until I saw a certain person’s face in this comic strip.
But by the last panel, I felt happy again.
