When we homeschooled, other people thought that was expensive. Other than someone needed to supervise the kids, I think it was less expensive than other education methods. No uniforms or clothes that had to be like their peer-group. Only bought school supplies that we actually used, and often could use last year’s. No fundraisers that we were expected to support. I usually bought used curriculum, and both kids could use the same book (hand-me-down). Then much of it, I could turn around and re-sell, after we were finished. We did pay for some (elective) cooperative classes & activities, but wouldn’t have had to, if we couldn’t have afforded it. Thankfully, my in-laws gave us some money each year for their grandkids’ Christian education, so we could do some “extras”.

Only $16.15 was saved, Zack. How is that a good thing?
