Dexter:Sunny, please stop it.
Sunny: what?
Dexter: Your leaping around gleefully celebrating the start of school!
whats wrong with that Dexter?
reminds me too much of my parents.
One of my favorite Back to School commercials showed a couple of parents skipping happily through a Staples store to the song “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.
It is indeed rare for a child to celebrate the start of schoolI have two questions:
Is it caused by education failing to keep up with the needs of the current society?
Or is it caused by the complete lack of respect for education and educators?
I think it is a bit of both but the disrespect and blaming placed on teachers is the bigger part of the problem.
Think about it. Bart Simpson, the worlds biggest slacker, has been on the air now for twenty seven years. Yes, Bart is just a cartoon character. Try living with a kid whose hero is Bart Simpson and thinks it is cool to act just like Bart.

DOSQueenIf the parents were doing their job, why do they let the kids watch? It’s the same question I had back when Flintstones were cutting edge: if it were a real life actors production, would the satire still be there? And would anyone watch?
