    Channel-locks with the longer handles give you more leverage.

    One of thestores I shop at has “easy open” frozen vegetable bags, a sharp knife works.

    I couldn’t got the cap off my medicine. Thankfully my five year old grand son was visiting. I handed it him. “Can you open Grandma’s medicine?” “Sure!” POP. Off came the top in under three seconds! What you need is a five to ten year old.

    You can request easy-off caps at the pharmacy. They’ll usually ask you to confirm that you know that they’ll not be safe around children, but they are genuinely easy to get off.

    Effective tremor can also affect this. Not so much in pain, but the likelihood of getting a twitch at the moment of opening and distributing the contents randomly around the room.
