This reminds me of my aunt and uncle. My uncle would always say “I’m the one who wears the pants around here” and my aunt would respond “yea but I’m the one who tells you when to put them on!”
I have never figured out why a woman will ask for your opinion, advice, or approval for something she’s already made up her mind about – and you are never going to change it, anyway !
