Looks like they banned history along with civics when these posters were in school. We had both in my day, although Lewis wasn’t so much history as current events – when I was in graduate school. If you weren’t there in person, you have no idea how bad it really was.

Lewis is a Civil Rights icon, no doubt. He’s been using his status as an icon to buoy is poor political career. I’ve lived in the Atlanta area going on 17-years and he has done very little to help his constituents.
